Orly You're Blushing • Konad White polish • Mash-03 |
The curiously-named You're Blushing is the third polish that I picked up from the
Orly Cool Romance collection. The dusty/taupey lavender quality of Orly You're Blushing really drew me in and I couldn't resist buying it despite telling myself I was only allowed two, maximum. It's a very interesting and girly-but-not-too girly shade that is unique to my collection.
I paired it with a sweet border design that in retrospect reminds me of lace doilies. After finishing, I realized this design reminds me of something else:
My very first try at nail stamping!
Essie St. Lucia Lilac is more pastel than You're Blushing, but I must have a thing for lavender and lace nails. I'm proud to say my polish application has vastly improved, although as you can tell from the topmost photo that I still have problems with applying top coat. I was so pleased that Mash-03 stamped so crisply, but even though I thought I gave it plenty of time to dry, my top coat still blurred/smudged the design (especially on the pinky).

My pretty and sharp stamps before top coat |
The colour is so totally off (indoor lighting!), but you can see the design is much clearer here. Seems I need much more practice :x
