With the #24Days of TwistUp more than a third of the way done, I've already tried shades ranging from peachy nudes to bright oranges. Here are the first nine I've posted on
Instagram, all in one place:
Plump It Up is a fun, bright fuchsia that leans blue. I had expected it to clash a bit with my warm-toned skin but was pleasantly surprised that it wore well on me after all.
Naked is a peachy, champagne nude. Because of its relatively light colour, a lot of the grey in my lips showed through and turned it into a very different colour. I've seen other lip swatches that showed the peach in this shade much better.
Breeze is a rosy pink that I consider one of the "everyday" shades in the TwistUp family: it's more understated and easy to wear. On me, it was like a slightly cooler-toned version of my-lips-but-better (MLBB).
Orange Pop is a super bright, almost neon red-orange. It was the first one in the calendar that really knocked my socks off (there have been others since :P). The grey in my lips hardly kept this shade from giving me an eye-popping pout.
Monroe is a bright red that leans slightly warm. It has a touch of orange to me, so it wasn't the true red I was expecting. Nevertheless, it's one of the many bold TwistUp shades I've come to love.
Bubble is a pretty salmon pink. I've been unexpectedly really loving the bolder shades in the calendar, but this one is also a favourite.
Fuchsianista is a bright fuchsia. It swatched on my arm pinker, but the natural colour in my lip takes down the brightness a notch and makes it slightly more purple than it would on other people, I think.
Tease is a shimmery copper. It comes off more brown on me and kinda feels like a throwback to the brown lipsticks of the 90s.
Flirtini is a classic, deep red. It's just flat-out gorgeous and one of my favourites so far. This is the red I had been expecting from Monroe, which I had assumed was a nod to Marilyn Monroe. Unless Red Carpet (Day #12) can top it, this is
the red of the lineup for me.

All nine shades side-by-side |
You can see some of the shades look much different on my arm than on my naturally dark and grey lips, particularly Naked, Fuchsianista, and Tease. Orange Pop and Monroe are fairly close, with Monroe being slightly less orange. All shades so far have been consistent in terms of creaminess and ease of application. I have been wearing them for swatching/photographing purposes only, so I can't comment on the wear time yet.
Want to try some of these shades for yourself? Luckily, Annabelle is giving me a second set of
