#24Days of TwistUp with Annabelle is zooming by! We're almost at the end and this second recap is way overdue. This time, it's full of uber-wearable sheerer shades (with two very bold exceptions!)
In the tube,
Mimosa definitely looks orange, since it is a bit sheer, your natural lip colour will come through and so it wears more pink than you might think. I still stick by my original
Instagram caption: this shade is as effortless and perfect for any time of the day as its namesake.
Kiss is another sheer orange and extremely close to Mimosa. If you handed me both tubes with the names covered, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Swatched, the differences are a little easier to tell: Kiss wears a little more orange.
Red Carpet is one of my favourites of this week. This is a bright, ruby red shade that would fit right in at any A-list film premiere or awards event. I had previously said that unless Red Carpet can top it, Flirtini would be
the red of the entire collection for me. But they're both so beautiful and different enough that I think I can find room for two gorgeous reds in my heart, right? Right.
Divine is a sweet, sheer red-leaning coral. This is a perfect MLBB shade that enhances your natural lip colour.
The TwistUp collection includes a lot of "cousin" or "sister" colours that are very close, but there's nothing in here quite like
Bazooka Pink. This is a bright bubblegum pink (Bazooka Joe gum, anyone?) or Barbie pink that leans very cool-toned. Not sure if it was just the eczema flare-up at the time, but I can't see my super warm-toned self wearing this too often.
Absolute is a sheer, pale salmon pink. Unlike the beige-like shade you see on me (again, due to dark, greyish lips), most people can expect this colour to wear more like a sweet, pretty pink than you see here.
Fizz is a warm, red-pink with a gold pearl. This is one of the few shimmery shades in the lineup, and although I usually prefer creme finish lip products, I love this one! I could see myself wearing this all the time, but the hint of gold shimmer also makes it a very lovely holiday lip if bolder shades like Red Carpet are not your style.
Mimosa and Kiss sure are similar, but hopefully you can see that Kiss is a bit more orange (fraternal twins, maybe?) Red Carpet and Bazooka Pink are totally the odd ducks out here, but otherwise these shades are more for natural, everyday wear.
Which shade in this recap is your favourite?
