So in conclusion: Nails Inc Queen Victoria Street has a lovely formula and colour. You should buy it if you find it. But it looks nothing like these photos or most other photos you will find on the internet LOL. Of course, monitor settings vary from person to person so I'm curious to hear what this colour looks like to you. Let me know in the comments!

Nails Inc Queen Victoria Street
There is something magic about Nails Inc Queen Victoria Street--and I don't just mean the smooth formula. No, I mean like straight-up witchcraft.
Why? Because this is not what Nails Inc Queen Victoria Street looks like in real life.
I have a bad habit of accumulating a backlog of photos. Sometimes I try to sort through my archive and see if old photos are up to my ever-changing standards and post them. I stumbled across these nail swatch photos of Queen Victoria Street and thought, "oh these are quite nice. Wonder why I never got around to posting them." To cut this long story short, basically Queen Victoria Street is actually a proper emerald green (note the "new trend shade" sticker--emerald was the 2013 Pantone Color of the Year) and not the turquoise you see here. I really try to make my photos as colour-accurate as I can, so I get the feeling I skipped over posting these earlier because I wasn't sure what to make of this turquoise-photographing polish (despite of the very nice natural light I seem to have gotten here!)
It seems I'm not the only one, because a Google image search reveals tons of Queen Victoria Street swatches that lean very turquoise, just like mine, and hardly any that capture the true emerald colour. Don't know why. Something about it just takes on a hit of blue when a camera gets near it. I want to try swatching and photographing this again, but it probably won't happen in the near future because I have so many other nail things planned and only one swatch hand.
